The TWIO Week Nine is here for your reading pleasure! Please continue to pay particular attention to the bills on special education, SB 5311 in the Senate Ways & Means Committee and HB 1436 in the House. Our first of two career fairs is Tuesday, March 14, in Spokane and the one in Tacoma is March 28. There is still time to sign up for the Tacoma Career Fair as registration closes at 3:45 on March 17. Candidates may register online up to 3:00 the day before the event for $25 and after that it is $40 online. Interested in learning more about our Workers Compensation? It is that time of the year to think about running for WSPA president. If you are interested in running or if you want to nominate someone, please do so HERE. The successful candidate will serve on the board for three years. Year 1-President Elect, Year 2-President, Year 3-Past President. The deadline for nominations for President is March 30, 2023. Are you interested in being a Region Representative? Check with your current Region Reps and let them know you are interested. Each year, one of the Region Rep positions is open and I encourage all members to consider stepping up for one of these opportunities in your region. Remember it takes all of us to make WSPA work.
