WSPA MEMBERSHIP

The Washington School Personnel Association (WSPA) is a community of human resources professionals dedicated to serving the school community. We provide support, advocacy, and continual learning for Human Resource professionals. WSPA has multiple different levels of membership designed to fit your needs. Descriptions of each membership type can be found below.


We have partnered with WASA to manage our finances and because of this our Membership renewal for 2023-24 and beyond will be handled by Kaley VonVolkli (kvonvolkli@wasa-oly.org) at WASA.

WSPA membership runs from September 1st through August 31st each year.


Membership rates are a flat fee and are not prorated at any point throughout the year.

Individual / Annual Cost: $175

Any employee in a school district department that performs human resource functions including, but not limited to, employee relations, data processing, employee benefits, salary administrations, staff selection or substitute operations. 


Membership Includes: 

  • Membership for one (1) person
  • Full access to a private online member community full of conversations and resources
  • Access to a member directory
  • Receipt of WSPA this Week email
  • Receipt of WSPA Upcoming Events monthly publication
  • Invitation to regular region meetings where you will connect with colleagues in your region around current HR hot topics
  • Member pricing on all WSPA Conferences: School Law Conference and Annual Conference
  • Member pricing on booths at the Washington Educator Career Fair in Spokane and Tacoma
  • Opportunity to have your legislative voice heard through the WSPA Legislative Committee and WSPA Legislative Platform
  • Access to Member Requests, and the ensuing responses
  • Job Board filled with open Human Resource positions across Washington State

District / Annual Cost: $1,500

10 or more employees in a school district department that performs human resource functions including, but not limited to, employee relations, data processing, employee benefits, salary administrations, staff selection or substitute operations.

  • Membership for 10 or more people
  • Full access to a private online member community full of conversations and resources
  • Access to a member directory
  • Receipt of WSPA this Week email
  • Receipt of WSPA Upcoming Events monthly publication
  • Invitation to regular region meetings where you will connect with colleagues in your region around current HR hot topics
  • Member pricing on all WSPA Conferences: School Law Conference and Annual Conference

Retiree / Annual Cost: $100

Members who have been active in WSPA and are now retired. If you have been a WSPA member for at least five years your dues will be waived for the first year following retirement.

Anyone not meeting the description for Individual or Retiree Memberships including, but not limited to, Colleges/Universities, Building Administrators, Intern, Consultant, Attorney, and Vendor
