  7. You spoke and we listened!  WSPA is partnering with Stevens Clay P.S. to offer an Eastside Bargaining Workshop
  8. There will be two sessions available.  One will be a half-day Zoom intended for people who are brand-new to bargaining... think a recent building administrator who has moved to HR.  This session will be on March 10 or 11.
  9. The second session will be a day long session on March 14 at ESD101 and is intended for an audience of people with bargaining experience.
  10. In both sessions, there will be interactive activities and multiple different presenters.  A finalized agenda will be available and registration will open by Monday, February 14.
  11. Note the back to back dates of the in-person bargaining workshop and the Spokane Career Fair!   Hotel discount prices will be available for Sunday and Monday night at the DoubleTree by Hilton, right next door to the Spokane Convention Center and a quick 15 minute drive to ESD101.
  12. Registration is now open for the Human Resource Classified Boot Camp offered April 22, 2022 via Zoom.  Register today!

Substitute Resources

A district is wondering how other districts handle IEP days.  Does the teacher get a substitute for IEP preparation, meetings, etc., or do they get paid for an additional day for these activities?

A district is wondering if any other districts have a resource for Substitute Guidelines.

  • Do they get paid for a certain number of hours?
  • Can they cover a class if they are willing rather than getting paid?
  • How long can you use a long-term substitute?
